The Fall 2008 conference on Cultures and Languages Across the Curriculum (CLAC) provides an opportunity for faculty, graduate instructors, and administrators to share expertise in building and managing post-secondary CLAC programs. A special focus this year will be on the implications of the May 2007 MLA Foreign Language Report on CLAC initiatives nationwide.

Blocks of rooms have been reserved at four area hotels. To receive the special rates indicated, identify yourself as a member of the “CLAC Conference” group.
- Carolina Inn: Historic inn directly adjacent to the conference. Only a limited number of rooms are available, so book quickly. $169/night.
- Courtyard by Marriott: About three miles from the conference center, a free and simple bus ride away. $149/night.
- Hampton Inn: About 4.5 miles from the conference center. A complementary shuttle service leaves from Holiday Inn Express across the street. $94/night.
- Holiday Inn Express: About 4.5 miles from campus. Provides a complementary shuttle service to campus. $89/night.
