Part-time Classroom Studies
Through Part-time Classroom Studies, you can take classroom courses for credit on campus at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Graduate and undergraduate courses are open during the day on a space-available basis, and a core curriculum of undergraduate courses is offered at night. (Some courses may be unavailable due to space limitations or departmental restrictions.) All courses are credit-granting and will become part of your permanent record at UNC-Chapel Hill.
Who Can Enroll?
You do not need to have previously taken college-level courses or have earned a college degree to enroll in Part-time Classroom Studies; however, admission to UNC-Chapel Hill as a part-time student is required. If you are an undergraduate student who would like to attend Carolina as a part-time student, or a post-baccalaureate student who would like to take courses without being admitted to a degree program, you are welcome to apply. For general information on who can apply, scroll down to the Part-time Classroom Studies Admissions heading in the Admissions section of the Undergraduate Bulletin. For more specific information, scroll down to Admission to Part-time Classroom Studies in the Undergraduate Admissions section of the Undergraduate Bulletin. (Note: These sources are from the Undergraduate Bulletin but refer to both undergraduate and postbaccalaureate admissions.) Also see Admission.
