Dec 1         Priority deadline (new and readmits, late application fee begins Dec 2)
Jan 18         Final deadline (new and readmits)

Important Dates for Spring Semester 2017

Jan 10 Last day to cancel your registration
Jan 11 Classes begin; late registration ($20 late fee) begins
Jan 16 Holiday
Jan 18 Last day to late register; adds accepted until midnight
Jan 19 Waitlists are purged
Jan 25 Last day to reduce course load (but not drop all courses) and have tuition recalculated
Mar 8 Incompletes (INs) from prior term (Fall 2016) change to F* for undergraduate students
Mar 8 Last day for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students to drop a course using the web registration system
Mar 10 Spring Break begins, 5 pm
Mar 15 Last day to withdraw for any prorated refund (prorated over nine weeks)
mid Mar/Apr Transfer requests for Fall 2017 (by appointment; call 919-962-1134)
Mar 20 Instruction resumes (spring break ends), 8 am
Apr 13 Last day for postbaccalaureates to drop a course
Apr 14 Spring Holiday
Apr 28 Absences (ABs) from prior term (Fall 2016) change to F* for undergraduate students
Apr 28 Absences (ABs) and Incompletes (INs) from Spring 2016 change to F* for postbaccalaureate students
Apr 28 Last day of classes; last day to withdraw
May 3, 6 Reading days
May 1-2, 4-5, 8-9 Exams

Final Exam Schedule for Spring 2017 Evening Classes

Please note the final exam schedule and plan accordingly before you register for a course. If you are absent from a final examination without an official excuse from Part-time Classroom Studies, or if you are present and fail to submit exam papers, you will be reported as Absent (AB). An AB is equivalent to an F and carries 0 quality points.
