The William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education's Professional Development and Enrichment Programs brings University resources to the community to enhance the lives of our state’s citizens. Professional Development and Enrichment Programs offers noncredit seminars and workshops for professional education, and a stimulating selection of enrichment courses taught by outstanding UNC-Chapel Hill faculty, staff, alumni, and community experts. Carolina Business Institute is the perfect opportunity for current students as well as recent college graduates who did not major in business to acquire essential information about the corporate and business world. No previous knowledge of business is assumed, but the pace of learning is rapid.

BRIDGES is an intensive professional development program for women in higher education who seek to gain or strengthen their academic leadership capabilities. It is designed to help women identify, understand, and move into leadership roles in the academy.
Infection Control Part II: The Infection Preventionist as an Environmentalist
September 21–25, 2009
Intended for infection preventionists in hospitals, this week-long course will give participants the opportunity to: broaden their knowledge of the interface between specific hospital areas and infection prevention, and improve their understanding of sterilization, disinfection, antibiotic utilization, infections in high-risk groups, and epidemic situations.
