Becoming a consultant puts you in control of your own path. You dream it, you plan it—you reap the rewards.

This is the start of something big!

It’s also a big something to start.

Many people feel anxious about the potential pitfalls of launching a consulting career and are afraid to take that first step. These workshops give you the practical guidance you’ll need to successfully launch your consulting career.

An introductory one-day workshop, Reinventing Yourself as a Consultant, is followed by a three-day in-depth workshop, How to Sell and Market Yourself as a Consultant.

Consulting services is one of the five fastest growing industries in the United States.

The US Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that between 2002 and 2012, jobs in the consulting services industry will grow by 55 percent—three and one-half times the 16 percent growth projected for all industries combined. Statistics also show that industry earnings are considerably higher than the average for the economy. As one of the highest paying businesses in the United States today, and ranked among the fastest growing professions, the consulting services industry is booming.

Reinventing Yourself as a Consultant

This is your workshop—dream big! You are finally going to map out the plan that has been forming in the back of your mind for years.

In this hands-on workshop, you will gain insight into the glories and challenges of life as a consultant. You will explore your loftiest dreams, reflect on your unique strengths and motivators, carefully consider your goals, and, most importantly, develop a plan to begin moving toward those goals.

Participants will learn about trends in the consulting industry, sales and marketing strategies, and challenges they will face as consultants. In the final portion of the workshop, each participant will develop his or her own personal skills inventory, personal consulting profile, and an action plan for getting started.
