Exam Proctoring for UNC-Chapel Hill Self-paced Courses

Some UNC-Chapel Hill distance courses require in-person final exams or proctored online exams. Exam requirements are included in the course descriptions.

  • Most self-paced online courses require an in-person supervised final exam.
  • Most semester-based online courses have online final exams. If proctoring is required, it will be coordinated via UNC Online.

Supervised final examinations are taken at an approved testing site. You will be responsible for making your exam arrangements.

Scheduling your exam

Students whose classes require a proctored exam must:

Find a proctoring center near them and schedule their exam with that center.
